These Peanut Butter Snickerdoodle Muddy Buddies are no exception. I can eat an entire batch in one day. By myself.
these muddy buddies are like crack. Chex is bathed in a white chocolate/peanut butter mixture that’s been swirled with ground cinnamon. Then you shake them in powdered sugar and let them dry.
Then you shake them again (the patented – not really – “Double Shake”). It’s not mandatory, but makes for a really coated muddy buddy. And pretty pictures!
Seriously addicting. No words other than MAKE THEM.

There are many things that, when placed in front of me, I can’t stop eating. Two of those things are Muddy Buddies and Trail Mix.
There really was no hope for me when I made this recipe. Trail Mix Muddy Buddies…welcome to my addiction.
The only problem I have with this super addicting snack is I can’t stop eating it. Like, ever. So if I make a bag…it’ll be gone in minutes. If someone sends me a bag for Christmas? Gone in minutes.
{Which is why I made this and sent it as Christmas gifts. Bwahahaha.}
I wanted to make a new flavor but, in all truthfulness, I love the regular puppy chow flavor: peanut butter and chocolate. Who doesn’t love that one most?? Instead of reinventing the wheel, I reinvented the mix. I made muddy buddies…into trail mix! This has become one of my favorite Chex Mix Muddy Buddies flavors!

My new favorite Muddy Buddies flavor: Cinnamon Roll Muddy Buddies! Made with Vanilla Chex and Cinnamon Roll Frosting Creations, these are a sweet and cinnamon filled treat!
These muddy buddies (also known as puppy chow, depending on where you live, I think) are made with the Vanilla Chex Cereal and coated in a mixture of white chocolate and a Cinnamon Roll Frosting Creation packet, from Duncan Hines.

Zesty Ranch Chex Mix

This Zesty Ranch Chex Mix is great any time…movie night, game night, while watching your favorite sports, during the holidays, party snacks, and it even makes a great gift too!
One of the most loved recipes at Christmas time is Chex Party Mix. The savory seasonings and the little bit of sweetness from the cereal is pure perfection!
Another favorite is Ranch dressing. I think we go through more bottles of Ranch than several families put together. So I decided to put our two favorites together!
And the new hit in our house…Ranch Chex Mix!

Learn how to make awesome Chex Mix in the slow cooker with this easy recipe! It’s super easy, and always a crowd fave.
I will say, my biggest question was whether or not making Chex mix in the slow cooker would actually be any easier than the microwave or oven versions. And to be honest, I don’t think it’s any easier. Any of those versions require you to keep an eye on the cooking process and give the mix a stir every so often. And the slow cooker version certainly takes the longest of the three methods.
But it does do a remarkable job of making your home smell like yummy Chex mix. And if you happen to be hanging near the kitchen for a few hours — say, when you’re cooking another meal, or having people over for a party or to watch the big game, it would be fun to try it in the slow cooker. Or, you know, if you are just looking for an excuse to make another batch, it’s definitely something that ever Chex-mix-lover should try. 😉

snickerdoodle peanut butter chocolate chex mix bars

I actually first made these as bars, but then I thought, these would be so cute in little hand-held bites. So I just made both, and both are awesome. I personally would make the cups only because I think they are cuter and really easy for people to grab, go and eat!
And oh my gosh, there is the whole snickerdoodle factor about these too. Not only are they coated in peanut butter, but before the Chex mix gets tossed with the peanut butter it gets tossed with cinnamon and vanilla. Holy moly.
That’s right they are just pure awesomeness and whoa, the smell? The smell is incredible and you do not even have to turn the oven on. I know, I know, I know, too good to be true.
Well, it’s not. You’ll be done assembling these in fifteen minutes and then you just have to let the chocolate harden. That’s it!
