Plant Based recipes have always been a staple food in my household. They’re such a fresh, flavoursome dish and are a great meal to have with family and friends. One of my favourite recipes among them is “Grilled Smokey Mashed Potato, Kale & Cheese Sandwiches ” that they’re incredibly yummy and flavorful. And the abundance of fresh vegetables and herbs give these delicious vegan recipe, taste and texture:

INGREDIENTS:

GET ALL THE LATEST DELICIOUSNESS

  • 2 T Plant based butter, room temp⠀
  • 3 T Kale, chopped pre steamed and cold (any left over greens will do)⠀
  • 1/4 C Smokey mashers (using Heidi Ho Smokey cheese)⠀
  • 3 Field Roast Chao Cheese slices, Cayenne-Tomato •Whole Grain bread (two pieces per sandwich) go figure.⠀
  • Salt and pepper⠀

DIRECTIONS:

warm up the left over mashers -⠀
Lay two pieces of bread side by each, butter evenly on one side of each slice and face that down, this is the outside of sandwich. Add plant based cheese to each piece, add a healthy scoop of warmed mashers, a small handful of kale, salt and pepper then cover with the other half of the sandwich bread and cheese. ⠀
Grill in cast iron or skillet on med. heat with a little butter in there (1 tsp), wait until it’s melted before adding the sandwich. After about one minute lightly press with a spatula then flip and repeat this process until each side is golden brown to your liking.
